My artistic journey began at the National School of Fine Arts and continued on to the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. I graduated with honours from Interior Architecture in 1988. In 1990, love sent me migrating to Australia and starting a family. I have had opportunities to work on interior design projects and drafting over the years and now after so many years of study, work and busy home life, I can finally say I have arrived at my dream destination.
In March 2012 I opened art studio and took up painting. After a long break , when I couldn’t pursue artistically I believe that I am once again at the beginning of the road , which I deviated more than 14 years ago.
I draw my inspiration from the surrounded landscape. I see fields of colours, shades, light and textures. The environment provides the raw energy that I need to translate into my own language, which is separating from nature more and more, becoming abstract.
Colour is the most powerful “tool” for me. It creates, enhances, changes, reveals, establishes the mood. I understand the power of colour, it fascinates me.
“ Colour is the place where our brain and the universe meet” – Paul Klee
I live and work in Warragul, Victoria, Australia
My works are held in private collections in Canada, Germany, Poland and Australia.
